Leadership & Transparency

Accountable to the people of Jamaica.

The Department's leadership team, our strategic priorities, and the public reports we publish to demonstrate accountability.

Commissioner's Message

“Our work is national service. We hold custody with care, we rehabilitate with intention, and we reintegrate with purpose.”

The Department of Correctional Services exists to keep Jamaica safe — today and over the long term. Public safety is built through professional custody, but it is sustained through rehabilitation. Every officer, social worker, educator, and administrator on our team contributes to that mission.
